Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between translation and localization?
Translation converts words; localization adapts the whole experience — layout, images, formats, units, tone, and cultural references — so the result feels native. Every project we deliver is localized, not just translated. Read the full comparison →
Which file formats do you work with?
Practically all of them: Word, InDesign, FrameMaker, PowerPoint, Excel, PDF, XLIFF, SRT/VTT, video project files, and SCORM packages. Native source files give the best results, but we can also work from PDFs or exports.
How do you guarantee quality?
Every project goes through native-speaker translation, independent revision, and a final QA pass against your glossary and style guide. Terminology is stored in a termbase so it stays consistent across every future project.
Do you use machine translation?
Where it helps, transparently: AI-assisted translation with full human post-editing (MTPE) cuts cost and turnaround for suitable content, and we tell you exactly which workflow your quote is based on. Critical copy is always fully human.
How is localization priced?
Most text work is priced per word, DTP per page, and audio/video per finished minute. You always receive a fixed quote before work begins — see our pricing page for starting rates.
