MediaLocalize (传媒本地化科技有限公司, “we”, “us”, or “our”) is a technology company registered in the People’s Republic of China. We operate the website medialocalize.com and provide AI-powered website building and professional localization services.

2. Applicable Law
This Policy is issued in compliance with:
- Personal Information Protection Law of the PRC (PIPL) — effective 1 November 2021
- Cybersecurity Law of the PRC — effective 1 June 2017
- Data Security Law of the PRC — effective 1 September 2021
- Regulations on the Management of Internet Information Services
- EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) — for visitors located in the European Economic Area
Where these frameworks conflict, we apply the stricter standard.
3. Personal Information We Collect
We collect only the minimum information necessary for the stated purpose.
Information you provide directly:
- Name, email address, phone number, and company name when submitting enquiries or quotes
- Project files, source materials, and reference documents you upload for localization work
- Payment information (processed by our payment partners; we do not store card numbers)
Information collected automatically:
- IP address, browser type, operating system, and referring URL
- Pages visited, time on site, and click-path data (via server logs)
- Cookie identifiers (see Section 9)
Information we do not collect: We do not collect sensitive personal information as defined under PIPL (including biometrics, religious belief, health data, or financial account credentials) unless you explicitly provide it as part of a project and give separate consent.

5. Data Storage and Security
All personal data collected from visitors and clients is stored on servers located within the People’s Republic of China, operated by certified cloud infrastructure providers that comply with the Cybersecurity Law and relevant national standards (GB/T 22239).
We implement industry-standard technical and organizational measures including:
- Encrypted transmission (TLS 1.2 or higher)
- Access controls and least-privilege permissions
- Regular security assessments
6. Cross-Border Data Transfers
Where we need to transfer your personal information outside the PRC (for example, to deliver a localization project involving overseas counterparts), we will:
- Conduct a security assessment in accordance with the Measures for Security Assessment of Cross-border Data Transfer (数据出境安全评估办法);
- Enter into a standard contract approved by the Cyberspace Administration of China (CAC); or
- Obtain your explicit separate consent for the transfer.
We will not transfer personal information to jurisdictions that do not provide an equivalent level of protection without your prior consent.
7. Your Rights Under PIPL and GDPR
As a data subject you have the right to:
- Access — request a copy of your personal information we hold
- Correction — request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data
- Deletion — request erasure of your data, subject to legal retention obligations
- Restriction / Objection — object to or restrict certain processing activities
- Portability — receive your data in a machine-readable format
- Withdraw consent — at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing
- Explanation of automated decisions — we currently do not make solely automated decisions with legal effects

10. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party processors, each bound by data processing agreements and applicable law:
- Payment processing — compliant payment service providers licensed in China (银联, Alipay, WeChat Pay) and internationally
- Email delivery — for transactional emails only
- Cloud hosting — PRC-licensed cloud infrastructure
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party.
11. Children’s Privacy
Our services are not directed at persons under the age of 14. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us immediately.
12. Changes to This Policy
We will notify you of material changes by posting a prominent notice on our website and, where we hold your email address, by direct notification. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
13. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
This Policy is governed by the laws of the People’s Republic of China. Any dispute arising from or relating to this Policy that cannot be resolved amicably shall be submitted to the China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission (CIETAC) for arbitration in Beijing under CIETAC’s rules then in effect.
